Chocolate Labrador Retriever - Tucker - Medium - Adult - Male
Tucker was found in 107-degree weather tied up behind a building near a feeding trail. When he was found he was skin, bones, with welts and injuries amd holding on for dear life. He had been tied up and the tie had imbedded in his flesh, he had rubber bands cutting off circulation in one of his paws but thankfully the tissue hadn?t died. He was injured, sick and pitiful.
He had one beautiful spark in his big brown eyes, made even larger by the fact that he was a living skeleton when found. Now he is healthy again, filled out, and seeking a forever home. He is somewhere between 3-5 years old. He looks young, acts like a laid back puppy, likes other dogs and people. His coat is shiny with white accents and he stands proudly. A white line bisecting his face makes those somber eyes even more striking. He is part Chocolate lab and has beautiful markings. His coat is cocoa and white, think of hot chocolate and fluffy marshmallows.
Tucker is a very sweet and quiet dog. He is very well crate-trained and will make a dash for his crate for feeding time. He gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home and loves car rides. Sometimes when he is sleeping, he dreams and makes noises as though he's barking with his mouth closed, though he never seems to bark when he is awake!
Tucker made it through our drought, near starvation, being tied up and left to die, and even heartworm treatment, but he is still in dire need of two things to survive - Love and a Forever Home. He needs a forever home with a family who will make him theirs where he can love and be loved. He is surprisingly calm for one who has seen so much sadness. He is sweet and polite and would make an immediate impact in a great home. He is a wonderful dog in need. Please consider making him yours!
